Greenwich Design takes home the Gold
Last night, we were honoured with a Gold award for ‘Best Visual Identity from the Public Services Sector’ at the 2021 Transform Awards Europe. The awards represent the most innovative, creative and successful brand strategy and development work in Europe, so we were chuffed to take home the top prize in our category for the 5G RuralDorset visual identity.
The objective of this community-based project run by Dorset Council, is to show how 5G can make the county a better place to live, work and visit. Greenwich Design set about creating a visual identity that truly reflected 5G RuralDorset’s ambition to discover how rural communities can benefit from next generation mobile connectivity.
The visual identity takes inspiration from the connection between the Dorset people, the coastline and the rural landscape. The dynamic angle of the 5-bar Full Signal icon is inspired by the Jurassic coastline, and the optimistic peak represents the ambition to overcome the county’s connectivity issues. The colour palette was chosen to represent a connection between rural Dorset and innovation.
“We are delighted with the results of the 5G RuralDorset visual identity work.,” said Colin Wood, Programme Manager for 5G RuralDorset. “The project has been extremely well-received within our own sector so it’s fantastic to see Greenwich Design being recognised with a Gold at the Transform Awards for exhibiting exemplary work in brand strategy and development.”
